Goals for college

  • Vastly improve writing skills
  • Learn how to think more critically; stop being swayed by every half-way decent argument I hear
  • Learn some languages (Hindi, Mandarin, Japanese?, Russian?, Arabic?)
  • Take some finance and accounting classes so I can learn how to deal with money and confidently rule out business school
  • Learn how to talk to anyone, including people who I feel I have nothing in common with and the kinds of people that I have historically failed to get to know (mostly people who are good-looking, white, and/or play sports. I just freeze up)
  • Figure out how to effectively deal with legs (shaving? waxing? moving to Europe?)
  • Become both confident and pretty enough to wander nonchalantly around my dorm in underwear and a t-shirt, like that one girl who was hosting us at pre-frosh

About

"She was a curious woman, whose dresses always looked as if they had been designed in a rage and put on in a tempest. She was usually in love with somebody, and, as her passion was never returned, she had kept all her illusions. She tried to look picturesque, but only succeeded in being untidy. Her name was Victoria, and she had a perfect mania for going to church."

The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde
